The Most Powerful Thing In the World Is…
The most powerful thing in the world is a mother who finds herself and finds her worth beyond motherhood.
How many times in your motherhood journey have you said the phrase “I’m JUST a mom”? How many times have you found yourself lost in the daily grind of mothering?
For me, it was thousands.
I got to a point where I felt my sole identity and purpose was defined by being a mom.
Now hear me when I say this, that does not mean I don’t love being a mom. Because I LOVE being a mom to my two daughters and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.
However, as humans, we are allowed to want for more than what we have.
I got so tied up with figuring out how to be a mom and show up for these tiny humans that in the process I lost sight of who I was and how to show up for myself. I couldn’t help but feel lost and longing for more.
At first I wasn’t sure what the more I wanted was, but then I realized something. I wanted more of me, more of myself.
So I started prioritizing myself and getting to know me again within this new lens of motherhood.
I started to take some time to truly reflect on who I was before becoming a mom and remembering what she was like. I dug deeper into myself and tried to figure out what I (as an individual) liked and wanted for myself. It was a practice I realized I hadn’t done in a long time.
Once I was better acquainted with the unique and multifaceted woman that I am, I was able to pinpoint exactly what I needed to focus on in order to feel, well more me.
What t I found changed my life and the way I see myself.
If you’re curious on what exactly I found, check out my guide Beyond Mom. It will take you step-by-step through my exact process of how I found myself and help you remember who you are outside of motherhood and how to nurture her.
It’s important for all mothers to be reminded that they are more beyond mom.
